Why are the Teamsters smiling? Do they think Brian Tierney will save their jobs? He can only save their jobs if the Inquirer/Daily News are profitable on operations. The Inquirer/Daily News like every business needs profits to pay its people, it employees, managers, lenders,etc.

The Inquirer/Daily News have 15 unions, 14 of which are okay with bonuses to management.
It is not clear what can be concluded from that support of management but one would think there is some quid pro quo.
Unions do not usually say nice things about management, particularly, nice words ...

As the Wall Street Journal points out, Fiscal 2009-2010 increases expenditures on Agriculture from 18.1 to 26.1 a 45% increase. As an advocate for Free Market and The Forgotten Taxpayer, this is going in wrong direction so despite talk of Direct Payment Farm Subsidies, there will be indirect aid. My ...

I have blogged on Farm Subsidies listing the $23,000,000 that Pennsylvania alone receives. Eliminating market distorting Farm Subsidies has been a goal of Free Traders.
Much to my surprise, it appears that President Obama agrees. I will try to follow this policy to see how it plays out.
