Remembrance of an Ordinary Life: An Accountant Dies

CFO Silicon Valley 50 yrs old dies

Jon A. Anderson, of San Jose, Silicon Valley, died from medical complications following a recent hospitalization, reported  Actel Corp. said Wednesday its chief financial officer  Anderson, who was 50, joined Actel in 1998.CEO John C. East said Anderson’s death “comes as a great shock to the Actel family. Jon was a good guy …”

This struck me because I know financial officers, numbers guys, solid, no drama, unglamorous and not razzle dazzle pyrotechnics of a Britney Spears concert but provide valuable and essential service to a business, necessary to the business to pay people for productive work. Solid, ordinary, productive, a tax producer.

The wife of a friend of a colleague went into hospital recently and has had one, and scheduled for another. And another colleague, slipped on ice helping his mom into her house, broke a rib, punctured a lung and is in Intensive Care Unit.

Remembrance-an Ordinary Life is part of a series.  Few in this world will remember him; all of heaven will.
