New Poll: Pat Toomey Gaining on Specter as Sestak Trails
June 15th, 2009 | by BGuzzardi |
The momentum is moving for Pat Toomey November 2010
Representative Sestak has not even begun to campaign; Senator Specter may be in for tightly contested primary which will damage him for November. As this progresses, let us see if Democratic elders persuade Sen. Specter to step aside for principled Leftist Joe Sestak.
See the Kent Gates Larry Ceisler analysis: Sestak’s scenario for victory is Rendell 2002, the suburbs and country club Democrats. Another analysis, The Specter Myth by Ryan Shafik demonstrates how Sen. Specter loses in November because he has lost the Republicans which he needed to win in November.

Toomey gaining on Specter in new poll; Sestak trails
My expectation is that RINO Republicans may change registration to vote for ‘moderate’ Arlen Specter in May 2010 Primary, not very Left Joe Sestak. Joe Sestak will pull the affluent, the educated, the college professors and high level government bureaucrats who like big government-the liberal elitist Democrat so prevalent in Lower Merion. In primary, it will be interesting to see what the Philadelphia Blacks will do –it may depend on whether President Obama campaigns for Arlen Specter in Philadelphia. I have to think the President and his most Leftist supporters will favor the ideologically aligned Sestak over the careerist and untrustworthy Arlen Specter.
Union Organizers will be for Sen. Specter who will remind them how much he has done for them and promise support for Card Check, not Joe Sestak. Seth Williams all but certain to be new DA. The Black vote may come into its own independent of Union Organizers who have dominated Philadelphia politics for fifty years. Union worker and non union worker may well be attracted to Toomey in November. Work is good for workers, and young people looking for jobs, not government spending on politically favored.

And the media will spin the RINO switch to Dems as another nail in the Republican’s coffin. Mark my words.
