CTC Defense Contracts- Showcase for Commerce: Amid Big Contract Awards, Real Estate Deal Has Impact

John Murtha’s Showcase for Commerce 10s of Millions of Taxpayer funded Government Contracts. One contract is for $16.4 billion and John Murtha takes credit for what The Forgotten Taxpayer pays for. The recipients of these contracts owe more to the ‘middleman’ John Murtha and that relationship than to The Forgotten Taxpayer. These seem to be necessary contracts. Still, the process seems more to do with relationship than with the need or quality. And it is unseemly that so much hoopla goes into aggrandizing a politician. It is as if all have to “kiss the ring” of their princely benefactor, like a Renaissance prince more than 21st century business decision.
