Rep. Charlie Rangel from New York is eclipsing John Murtha with his scandals. These Democrats have been in power too long and the power has corrupted them. The scandals are growing and support for these two very long time incumbents is waning.

Charles Rangel’s Support Wanes In Midst of Ethics Scandals

Republican members of the House last week attempted to oust Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) from his powerful chairmanship of the House Ways & Means Committee for the duration of a House Ethics Committee investigation. The committee is looking into alleged misconduct surrounding Rangel’s real estate investments and dubious personal financial disclosure reports. And although the effort failed and Rangel can sit tight for now, signs that he’s sustained political damage are emerging.
