Glenn Beck is commenting on Arlen Specter’s self-centered opportunism.
The “evolved” Arlen Specter. I think that it is significant that a national talk show host would comment on one politician . The Toomey Senate campaign will be a marquee race. It will be NY-23 amplified 20 times. Pennsylvania is 20 times bigger than a House district and Pat Toomey’s campaign will change the dynamic and the discussion of issues.
The Wall Street Journal editorialized about NY-23 “But that lesson will be for naught if conservatives conclude that their victory is reason to challenge any candidate who doesn’t agree with them on every issue. The truth is that some conservatives are as bloody-minded and intolerant of all dissent as the hard left is at the Daily Kos.”
I agree and Pat Toomey is not one of the purists that rejects all who disagree. Diversity and division of labor is as necessary to free politics as to free market.
